Christian Vocational Institute
Our mission for this project is to provide spiritual guidance and skills to at risk youth in order to deter devious and dishonest behavior, increase moral values, improve self-esteem so that the community inherits a productive, hardworking and honest member of society.
At our induction, we will offer vocational training in mechanics, but our goal is to expand in to various other vocational training such as: carpentry, electronics, and computer repair. What makes our school different from any other is the separate Biblical teaching and curriculum to help our students focus on self-improvement and a good work ethic. The curriculum will also include books and videos from OSHA on safety issues i.e. safe handling of tools, hazardous material basic shop safety.
With your help and the help of the Lord, we will open our vocational school within the next two years.
We will fervently encourage our students to further their education. We plan to provide scholarships to those who seek to gain a four-year degree in their chosen vocation or religious education from an institution of higher learning. We are -right now-in the process of making relationships with potential employers so that our graduates may gain the benefit of immediate job placement.
Our school expects to make an immediate impact in the community on the cost for auto repair. The donated cars we receive will benefit Good Samaritan Cars (another charitable org) after repair. Good Samaritan Cars donates cars to single parents.
Our goal is to provide the students meaningful and attractive alternatives to a life of crime, jail and poverty. We believe that the spiritual guidance will teach them their responsibility to themselves and the community while giving them skills to bolster their self-esteem, we help them to become more productive members of society.
As you can imagine, tools and equipment for vocational schools are quite costly. We are writing grant proposals to help with this project, but the truth of the matter is that people and not corporations are our most generous and conscientious supporters. We appeal to you for support of this very important project. It promises to be our most important project to date.
Here is a small list of our needs:
 10 computer
 5 car lifts
 Copier
 Fax
 2 Phones
 Large File cabinet
Once we open, volunteer positions will be available and posted on this web site.
What does a vocational school have to do with CI&A's mission? Everything! We will inspire many young men and women to start businesses of their own that, consequently, will support ministry. Our graduates will be equipped with the Word of God, a steadfast sense of ethics and devoted awareness of their duty to the community to be “good stewards”. Will you help us with this important project? We hope that you will prayerfully consider supporting our school as the Lord leads you. We sincerely appreciate any assistance you are able to bestow.
